"The decorated catalan ceramic has always been wellknown, in dishes, pots or glazed tyles. The value or worth is because most of them were draught trace. Themes are very diferents and flowers, heraldic motives, animal, religious stories or handycraft works are some of them.

The most ancient decorated and glazed ceramic belongs to XIII and XIV centuries, decorated in green and manganese.
Following the evolution process of the catalan ceramic, over the XVII century, started the glazed tyles hand making and polycromated pieces, that were really plenty on the XVIII century.
Besides the big composition on glazed tyles about religious themes, wars or huntings you could also see soldiers, ships and animals.
The wave pieces are represented on dishes, pharmacy pots, spiece boxes, blue and polocrome washstands.

Last century the artistic catalan ceramic was almost disappeared but during the last years, we see a satisfaction because of the resurging of these traditional handycraft manifestations by catalan artists that want to reproduce with on delicacy this ancient fine art.
